Society is on the move – are we too? When the German Dance Award is presented in Essen on 22nd September 2018, we will seize this opportunity to reflect on the future of dance. We will be bringing together all those who are dedicated to dance, open up discussion spaces, set aesthetics in motion, transform institutions and seek new systems of organisation. In the centre point will be artists who continually push dance into new territories. You share with us your experiences and perspective on what lies ahead in the future of dance - we will provide the location and connections. We want to form perspectives on the possibilities, changes and potential in our ensemble or on our stage. Together with numerous partners, including those from the funding programmes, TANZLAND and TANZPAKT, we will develop perspectives and alliances for the future of dance. We hope for direct encounters and exchanges, intensive discussions and exciting impulses.
